Another shout out to Starbucks for their kindness to vegans! As mentioned last week, I tried their oat hot chocolate and their pulled jackfruit wrap (both were so good!). Next on my list was to try their Five Grain Oatmeal – another vegan breakfast option to hit the high street.
Described as “oats made with coconut cream and soy milk, golden linseeds, red and wild rice, spiced with cinnamon”. Trust me, it is even yummier than it sounds and especially indulgent when you crumble up a Starbucks’ dark chocolate bar on top like I did! I had this for brekkie last Thursday after a number of glasses of wine at a work pub quiz the night before, and hell – it sorted me out no end. The oatmeal is warm and comforting; perfect when you’re in need of a bit of comfort! Last week involved a lot of eating out for me…. more home cooking this week for the reasons I explain below 🙂
Today marks 11 days until my sister Lisa’s wedding and I reeeeeally can’t wait ♥ A day of nothing but celebrating the union of the beautiful Lis and her Mr Bliss (that’s actually his name!). Right now I’m focusing on eating well (no chocolate on oatmeal this week!) and cutting down on the wine until the wedding – aside from Valentine’s day, any excuse! Got a rather snug & sexy Bridesmaid’s dress to fit into in 11 days time. Oh my days I can’t wait! ♥ ♥
